[a note on scores]
These documents represent the written aspect of my compositional practice as seen initially by players and ensembles. They should not be taken as a complete record of a created music or work. The oral transmissive process in collaborations and rehearsals includes living knowledge such as storytelling, poetics, listening exercises, and critical reflections. The eventual music seeks to move beyond sight reading and initial formations of material: the score is an object to be moved beyond towards the goal of flexible, organic musicmaking. The score does, however, communicate the beginning of the process. - inti
